Orvana Minerals has announced that Kinbauri España is commissioning the El Valle-Boinás-Carlés (EVBC) gold-copper mine in northern Spain.
EVBC has begun the establishment and commissioning of the mill and anticipates the initial shipment in June.
EVBC will increase the yearly target production level to more than 150,000 ozs of silver, 100,000 ozs of gold and 3,900 t of copper from the primary production capacity that will be at 70%. The company has presently stored more than 75,000 t of the ore. Initially, El Valle-Boinás and Carlés mines will produce less high-grade oxidized ore and more low-grade skarn-type ore.
Orvana is making progress in the construction of a new shaft. Approximately 95 m of the shaft has been presently reamed to a diameter of 5.5 m. The company will start building the shaft surface facilities in August 2011 and the shaft will be finished by the end of March , 2012, as expected.
As all the permits have been got, governmental authorities will complete the final inspection authorization. Kinbauri may be needed to send an additional environmental bond, after the last inspection.
