Catalyst Copper Reports Additional Assay Results from La Verde Porphyry Project

Catalyst Copper has announced the assay results of the additional two holes from the present 20,000 m drilling program at the La Verde copper porphyry project in Mexico.

The company has drilled LV11-018 and LV11-019 at the East Hill deposit and has cut 0.432% copper, 0.051 g/t gold, 4.2 g/t silver over 390.35 m in hole LV11-018 and 0.76% copper, 0.206 g/t gold, 9.1 g/t silver over 175.04 m in hole LV11-019. It continues to validate the occurrence of molybdenum, copper, gold and silver through the results from these second and third holes drilled at the East Hill copper deposit.

Extensive mineralization has been returned from the LV11-018 hole assays and expanded the mineralization to a depth and south. This hole has been drilled at -50° to the north side of Section 812000 east and was planned to analyze an inferred mineralization area, described by two holes situated above the target.

Catalyst has drilled hole LV11-019 at -50° to the north of the East Hill section 812150 east. Also, the hole has aimed at an inferred mineralization area, which is situated below the earlier holes and has cored an extensive mineralized intersection and this hole has returned similar results as that of LV11-018.

Additional hole LV11-020 has been drilled at the East Hill deposit on section 812350 east and was planned to expand the identified deposit to a depth and south. The hole LV11-021 is being drilled and is examining a formerly undrilled geophysical target.

Metallurgical test, NI43-101 resource update and environmental studies have been included in this planned additional work for 2011 to integrate the latest results.
