Newcastle Minerals Commences Drilling at Chester Project

Newcastle Minerals has begun drilling at its Chester Project, which is situated in northwestern Ontario, Canada.

This 30 ha claim property has two units and lies around 1 km north of the Cote Lake deposit of Trelawney Mining and Exploration that presently holds 131 mt averaging 1.0 g/t gold for 4.22 Moz including 0.30 g/t gold as cut-off grade. The company has not outlined the limits of the deposit.

The company has discovered potential mineralized expansions trending off from Trelawney's ground to the Chester Project, through the newly completed ground I.P. survey and combined electromagnetic and ground magnetic survey. Newcastle will focus drilling on these possible mineralized expansions and examine the additional I.P., magnetic and electromagnetic anomalies that were found in the two surveys.

Ontario Geological Survey mapping had recorded migmatitic rocks that are noted as immense hornblende diorite with quartz layers and felsic-intermediate metavolcanics along with quartz veins-pods. The potential mineralized expansions from Trelawney’s property emerge as correlated prospective Mag-VLF anomaly at the Chester property.
