Northern Tiger Resources has updated its proposed $7.2 M Yukon exploration programs. The 2011 exploration programs are planned to pursue the fine gold drill discoveries that were made in 2010 at both the Sonora Gulch and 3Ace projects.
The company has started drilling at Sonora Gulch. This 2,500 m diamond drilling will focus mainly on the Gold vein zone, which is a 1.4 km long geochemical anomaly having 161 ppb gold-in-soils in average. It has examined the anomaly with a single drill hole in 2010 and intersected 155.5 g/t silver and 7.6 g/t gold over 6.0 m.
The new camp construction at 3Ace is progressing and the drill crew will be moving soon to the property. The focus of the 10,000 m drilling program will be on the main zone, where it has encountered significant gold potential at the two drill holes including 14.8 g/t gold over 10.9 m, 4.3 g/t gold over 30.3 m and on Green zone west. The initial drill testing will be conducted on the adjacent Sprogge and up to five further targets on the 3Ace property.
The President of the company has stated that though there are some delays due to the late spring melt, Yukon exploration program is going on well. The company is able to balance by receiving the early drill turning at Sonora Gulch and completing some extra regional exploration soon. By mobilizing the drill crew to the 3Ace property, the company will soon begin the drill turning at two Yukon properties.
