UnionTown Energy Drills First Well at Teton River Property

UnionTown Energy has begun drilling its initial well at the Teton River property. The company expects that the drilling operations at the Teton #1a-10 well will be for 3 to 5 days.

There was delay in the drilling program commencement due to the heavy rainfall in the region, but the property dried soon and the drill rig was mobilized on site.

UnionTown plans to drill at the Teton River project and one of the planned group of six wells is the Teton #1a-10. The company drills this well to a depth of 1975 ft in vertical. The Swift Sandstone structure is the drill target.

Heavy oil was produced by means of steam flooding method in a former well, which is drilled at the Teton River property. UnionTown has an approval previously from the State of Montana to prepare for a designed 5-Spot operation after the completion of a drilling program that was successful.

The CEO and President of the UnionTown, has stated that the company has started the drilling program at its second property. This drilling was planned for this quarter soon after finding potential oil from the first well at the New Miami property. The company is drilling very near to the formerly producing Teton 10-3 well. He also told that the company’s reservoir engineers will review the drilling results from the first well to outline the additional drilling and proper production settings.
