ASHBURTON Ventures has announced that exploration of the property at its Deep Creek Project situated 112 km north side of Elko, Nevada continues extensively and 1,765 m of drilling in the Upper Vein area is completed.
Due to late snowfall at higher altitudes, ASHBURTON Ventures started drilling in the Waterfall Vein area. Six holes were drilled in the Waterfall Vein area to analyze for mineralization between the Range Front Structure to the west and the veins, and to analyze the Waterfall’s subsurface extent and 13-5 veins.
The complete 900 m of core obtained from the Waterfall Vein has been logged, and 230 m of core has been cut and delivered for analysis. Intervals of strong hydrothermal brecciation were stumbled upon during the drilling process between the Range Front Structure and the veins.
As snow fall receded, drilling started in the Upper Vein in the middle of May 2011 to analyze the Upper Vein’s subsurface extent and its extension under the younger volcanics to the southeast. 10 holes totaling 864 m have been completed, with 300 m cut and delivered for analysis, while 565 m logged. Visible gold in quartz veins was observed in numerous intervals during the process of field logging the core. Results for the core that were submitted for analysis are expected in the upcoming weeks.
