Advanced Explorations Reports First Drilling Results from Tuktu Iron Project

Advanced Explorations (AEI) has reported the preliminary drilling results from its Tuktu iron project, which is situated in Nunavut, Canada.

The obtained drilling intercepts from Tuktu has confirmed that it has a drill defined strike length with Banded Iron Formation (BIF) of more than 2000 m of the total 2,600 m of mapped surface strike. The complete bedrock intersection of a hole 11TT007 was in BIF limits having irregular narrow dykes, with 31.8% iron over 167.1 m. Mineralization occurring in this drill hole extends to the northeast having 32.2% iron over the bottom 65.3 m.

The company has drilled another hole 11TT002 around 350 m along strike to 11TT007 hole’s west side and cut 32.8% iron over 71.74 m of BIF previous to intersecting metasediments at 22 m and then entered again into BIF. A significant structural complexity zone with limited and alteration zones of BIF in the initial 112 m has been cut by the drill hole 11TT001 and the hole ends at a thick metasediment sequence. The zone is formed corresponding to a mapped mafic dyke at the surface. The company will perform a comprehensive geologic work to evaluate the structural zone’s economic potential for other mineralization types. It has obtained only limited results from the 11TT003 and 11TT004 holes and when complete data is received and reviewed by the geologic team, the complete results will be released.

The CEO and President of the company, has stated that the primary results from the Tuktu Project show high-grade BIF connected with Tuktu 1. This Tuktu 1 deposit is expected to contribute to the high quality iron ore assets of the company.

AEI has drilled all the holes at -45° and at 40° to 45° azimuth. It sends split drill core samples to Ancaster, Ontario for analysis.
