Cassius Ventures Starts Exploration at Nicaraguan Gold Properties

Cassius Ventures has announced the starting of the 2011/12 exploration program at its Nicaraguan Gold Properties.

The company has scheduled a 12 month exploration program at all of its 16 concessions. This program contains stream sediment sampling at the concession regions that were not sampled formerly and concessions not worked on historically.

Cassius has discovered the potential gold existence at some concessions and will perform soil geochemistry surveys at the potential areas. Fortress de Nicaragua has found five prospective drill targets through the previous work from the soil geochemistry. It has also started a trenching program at a target. This trenching will also be conducted on the four targets and on further targets that will be discovered during the ongoing program. Cassius has planned for reconnaissance core drilling of up to 7,500 m, which will begin in October, 2011. This drilling is anticipated to prolong till May 2012. The company’s new administrative offices in Nicaragua will assist the exploration program.

Mr. Gabriel Segura, the chief geologist is in charge for planning and supervising the exploration program. The company has appointed Mr. Edgardo Cuaresma as Country Manager.

The CEO and President of the company, has stated that the Nicaragua team led by Gabriel Segura consists of 10 prospectors and geologists in the field, along with some 30 support personnel and has planned to proceed exploration in all the areas that embraces drilling of at least five dissimilar targets. Edgardo Cuaresma’s appointment will facilitate to maintain a strong working affiliation with the Nicaraguan authorities and main stakeholders.
