Golden Touch Resources has reported that the assay results have defined additional gold mineralization in the recently drilled holes at the Gjazuj Area in the Rubik Gold Project, Albania.
The company is carrying out a drilling program at Gjazuj, to find out the level of gold mineralization that was exposed initially by drilling in 1980 and recently authenticated by the surface trench sampling by the Company.
At present, the company has completed 12 drill holes out of the scheduled total depth at Gjazuj. The assay results for the initial three holes were reported in May 2011. The company has got the assay results for the further five holes, in which four holes have encountered significant gold mineralization. It has drilled additional four holes and the core is presently being logged and samples that are prepared before is being sent for assaying.
The company has 3.0 g/t gold over 17 m in the hole GJZ 1008, 1.0 g/t gold over 25 m in the hole GZJ 1010, 1.3 g/t gold over 30 m in the hole GZJ 1011 and 1.7 g/t gold over 30 m in the hole GZJ 1012. It drilled these holes to the south east of hole GZJ 1005, which intersected 1.67 g/t gold over 37 m. Each reported holes were drilled at a steep angle and the location of the gold bearing envelope projects to the surface vertically. It is expected that the results of the hole GZJ 1008 may bring some difference in width.
The drilling results received so far, have outlined the gold mineralization envelope over at least 100 m of the strike distance. Golden Touch has planned to drill additional holes along the strike to outline the borders of the gold mineralization.
The former drilling proposed the extension of mineralization over 1300 m of strike length and the gold-in-soil geochemical anomalies recommend that the gold bearing soils broaden up to 6 km of strike length.
The gold envelope is enclosed by two individual high-grade auriferous zones, having one at the summit of the gold bearing envelope and one at envelope’s bottom.
ALS AMMTEC of Perth Australia is being contracted to carry out the first metallurgical and mineralogical sighter tests on the laboratory remains and refuse material from the hole GZJ 1005.
