Roxgold has extended the core drilling contract for 5000 m at the Yaramoko gold concession during mid-September. Moreover, the company is discussing for a further core drilling program of 5000 m later.
So far, the company has drilled HQ and NQ holes for some 4500 m in 36 drill holes at the Yaramoko concession. In order to prevent the long delays connected with the testing of samples in Burkina Faso, preferred samples were sent for processing to Canada. The Bagassi Central zone is the key target area and this zone has formerly yielded 24.6 g/t gold over 6 m, 28.6 g/t gold over 20 m through the reverse circulation (RC) drilling program. The Bagassi South Zone encountered 14.8 g/t over 2 m and 11.9 g/t over 6 m.
Moreover, the company has completed a further 2500 m of RC drilling in 18 holes at its optioned Bissa West gold concession, which is located in the western Burkina Faso. The focus of this drilling is on the Bouboulou 2 region and Rawema, which formerly yielded 1.52 g/t gold over 40 m, 2.19 g/t gold over 35 m. The company is waiting for the assay results.
Additionally, Roxgold has completed wide RAB drill programs at all of its optioned properties to comprehend the current rock and soil anomalies and to form new anomalies.
