Golden Hope Mines has provided details about its summer diamond drilling program in Southeastern Quebec, during 2011. The primary drilling is for six holes, around 2800 m in total.
SGS Canada-Geostat has planned this drill program in order to confirm the historic results and to additionally examine the two main zones, T1 and T2, which is explored so far to depth.
Golden Hope has completed four holes out of the six primary holes and is presently drilling its fifth hole. The depth of the hole BD2011-157 is 467 m, BD2011-158 is 499 m, BD2011-159 is 450 m, BD2011-160 is 573 m and the company has planned to drill 436 m in hole BD2011-161, 428 m in hole BD2011-162.
The drill core holes will be subjected to a comprehensive structural and geological logging method followed by cutting and sampling. Then the samples are shipped to the laboratory, where the company has completed the preparation of samples precisely for mineralized gold at Bellechasse-Timmins before being assayed.
From the completed holes, the company has logged, cut and sent the samples from the hole BD2011-157 to the Ontario-based SGS Minerals Services for assaying.
Golden Hope Mines has expanded its diamond drilling program with a further 2000 m. It will employ the services of Forages Mercier of Val D'or in Quebec.
