Firebird Resources has reported the primary drilling results from its current program at the Buzzard project in South Carolina. The company obtained the drill results of the initial hole from a 2000 m drill campaign.
It has drilled the hole FRDDBZ-102 to 152 m in depth to authenticate and expand the notable drilling results. Mineralization exists in a well mineralized heterolithic breccia unit at the nearby holes during the historic drilling program.
The company has intersected 11.31 g/t gold over 11.33 m, 4.19 g/t gold over 38.67 m, 1.13 g/t over 3.33 m, 0.69 g/t gold over 20 m and 0.35 g/t gold over 5 m in the hole FRDDBZ-102.
At present, the company has completed three holes at the Buzzard project and prepared the second hole, which was sent to the laboratory for assaying. Also, it is logging and preparing the third hole. Firebird has mobilized the drilling rig to the Jefferson project for performing the 3 to 4 hole drilling campaign. Subsequently, the drill rig will be back to the Buzzard project for an additional drilling phase, which is being planned presently..
Firebird has received a notification from the contractor about the availability of the second drilling rig, which will be mobilized to the Belk project, South Carolina, in August 2011.
