Concordia Resource Obtains Approval to Continue Drilling at Providencia Property

Concordia Resource has declared that its Meryllion Minerals has got the drill permits from the Directorate of Mines–Province of Jujuy in order to continue the drilling operations at its Providencia silver-copper prospect, which is located in northwest Argentina.

This Providencia property contains copper and silver mineralization and it turned out some 5 Moz of silver previously from the ore, which graded between 400-500 g/t of silver. A badly consolidated conglomerate unit that dips gently and is green houses the mineralization is capped and floored by white sandstones and dark red mudstones.

In the earlier mining, the initial target of the company was the conglomerate unit and Concordia expanded four open pits, namely the Central, West, North and South that were shallow. The mineralization is exposed along the down-dip towards the eastern direction located in the conglomerate unit that is dipping gently, and along the strike towards the northern and southern directions. Expansion of the identified resources situated in the shallow location and analysis at depth for higher-grade mineralization are the purposes of this drilling campaign.

Meryllion did a broad environmental study and asked for and got recorded backing from the two local societies for the exploration program, as a part of the permitting process. The plan for a preliminary program was organized to core drill the area of 300 m approximately. Major Perforaciones has been engaged as the drilling contractor. The UDR200D drill rig has been moved by the contractor and the company is envisaging the beginning of this drilling program in September.
