Sagebrush Gold has leased 24 mining claims from Centerra Gold. The location of these unpatented mining claims are in the Mt. Springs Mining District, Nevada, and contiguous to the Red Rock 283 claim group, which was purchased by Sagebrush Gold in June, 2011 and began 16,000 ft drilling campaign, totaling 9 holes, in August, 2011.
The company has got several values of gold-in-rock of more than 3 g/t from the Centerra claims with a higher gold of 13 g/t. It has collared six drill holes totally at the property and three holes out of six have cut a minimum of 1 g/t over 5 ft interval. More than 1 g/t gold over 25 ft was encountered as the highest value of gold in this region.
A comprehensive gravity survey, geological mapping, reconnaissance drill program, rock and soil geochemical sampling and acquisition were incorporated in the completed exploration works. Drill testing of geological and geophysical targets and a 4-line CSAMT survey will be included in the further exploration.
The President of Sagebrush Gold has stated that it has purchased further, high priority land area within and adjacent to the present property at the Red Rock claims. It is considered that that this geologically favorable Red Rock can support the development of gold resources.
