Southern Arc Minerals has got the drilling results of the two primary holes from the Mencanggah prospect, which is located in the West Lombok project, Indonesia.
The target depth was not attained by the holes MCG001 and MCG002 when it was drilled at the Waterfall target and these holes have cut similar additional breccia formations and epithermal quartz vein.
The company has intersected 7.60 g/t gold over 0.80 m, 3.96 g/t gold over 2.30 m in the hole MCG001 and 9.80 g/t gold over 0.20 m, 5.15 g/t gold over 2.00 m in the hole MCG002.
Depending on the surface mapping program, the Waterfall target includes mineralized epithermal veins and breccias zone that is 1,200 m long and two major parallel formations, which are combined at depth based on the structural information.
The company has stopped drilling the holes MCG001 and MCG002 during August. It has enhanced the site protection and is anticipating the drilling continuation at the Mencanggah for analyzing the gold epithermal breccias by a drilling of around 30 holes to 300 m of average depth to finish 10,000 m totally by this year end. Southern Arc will carry on the follow-up drill program during the initial half of 2012 with an aim of finishing a NI 43-101 compliant resource calculation.
Southern Arc has intersected 1.0 g/t gold and 6.2 g/t silver over 1.35 m in the hole PLD028, 11.5 g/t gold over 0.85 m, 3.9 g/t gold over 3.90 m in the hole PLD031, 2.3 g/t gold over 3.30 m, 1.4 g/t gold over 13.15 m in the hole PLD032 and 1.04 g/t gold over 0.65 m in the PLD033 at the Pelangan prospect.
As a part of phase II campaign, the company has drilled over 7,000 m at the Pelangan prospect. It will commence around 13,000 m of drilling again at the Pelangan in the late fourth quarter in 2011 in an aim to finish a NI 43-101 compliant resource calculation for the Pelangan prospect.
