Southern Arc Minerals has updated on the drill program conducted at the Mencanggah prospect, which is located on the West Lombok property in Indonesia.
The company has obtained the drilling assay results for the holes from MCG003 to MCG011. It is waiting for the assay results for the holes MCG012 to MCG019, and is currently drilling six holes from MCG020 to MCG025.
Southern Arc has examined the epithermal quartz-chalcedonic veins, brecciated and banded outcrops at the Waterfall target, with an intention of cutting high-grade boiling zones. Several vein zones were intercepted through mineralization. The company has encountered up to 2.6 g/t silver and 11.0 g/t gold over 1.6 m. It has updated the area’s structural model and is currently drilling the holes, which have targeted favourable vein intersection zones.
Currently, the company is operating seven drilling rigs at Waterfall and completed drilling of 5,395 m at Mencanggah. It is expecting the arrival of additional three drill rigs on site. Once the holes are being drilled, the rigs will be mobilized towards north to the Tibu Serai and Bising targets. Southern Arc has conducted surface channel sampling program along the wide strike lengths of Tibu Serai and Bising, and has yielded high-grades of up to 53.5 g/t gold over 7.1 m and 12.2 g/t gold over 5.0 m and low grades of up to 1.1 g/t gold over 66 m.
During October, drilling was resumed at Mencanggah and Southern Arc has limited the drill works at the Waterfall target. Currently, operational methods have been expanded, which will make the Company to extend the drilling functions to several targets.
