Cabo Drilling, a drilling services company in North Vancouver, has reported that the company’s Eastern European branch in Albania has secured a primary drilling contract from Empire Mining to drill 1,250 m up-hole NQ underground holes at the Bulqiza 1440 project, which comes under the Bulqiza-Batra License of Empire.
An electric Atlas Copco Diamec U-6 drilling rig has been moved to the property and the company has started the drill campaign.
A surface campaign has been finished by the Eastern European branch of Cabo for the Empire’s Bulqiza project during 2010. Recently, Cabo has completed an underground program at its Thekna project. This project will also be included in Empire's Bulqiza-Batra License at the Bulqiza chromite project in Albania. The company has completed 1,550 m of drilling, totaling four diamond drill holes, at the Thekna project and has validated the mineralization continuity that were shown in the drill logs since 1990's.
The General Manager-Europe of Cabo drilling has commented that the company is delighted to continue the connection with Empire Mining in the Bulqiza region. The safety approach to the drill program completely lines up with the safety authorization and industrial health of Empire on its properties.
