Balmoral Resources is continuing to show the high-grade continuity of the Martiniere west gold zone. Over twice the zone’s strike level has been encountered from the 10 hole results and these results have shown the opening of high-grade gold mineralization at near surface depth in all the directions.
The company has encountered high-grade gold from more than 90% of the holes, which targets the West zone. It has cut 22.57 g/t gold over 2.22 m in the hole MDW-11-29, 23.57 g/t gold over 3.74 m in the hole MDW-11-24 and 18.66 g/t gold over 3.15 m in the hole MDW-11-25.
Balmoral has outlined several vein zones in the hanging wall and footwall at the Main formation, with more drilling intercepts. These zones have the ability to include the Martiniere west zone’s resource prospective. The company is waiting for the results of the further 12 expansion holes that were drilled along the strike’s east and west. It has collared the holes MDW-11-23 and MDW-11-26 to the Martiniere west zone’s northern part.
The Martiniere property of Balmoral is part of its Detour gold trend project that expands along the Detour-Sunday Lake deformation zone for 82 km. the project has shallow Rambo and Lynx zones at the Detour east property, the new Grasset gold discovery and the Fenelon gold zone, besides the Martiniere gold discoveries. Balmoral is continuing the drill program at the Grasset property and will begin drilling on the Detour east property shortly.
