Mexivada Mining has identified a fresh important ankerite-quartz veining mineralized zone at the Golden Porcupine property, which is located along the Deloro Fault zone area that is immediate to the Dome-Aunor-Delnite mines complex’s southern part.
A recent trenching program has shown fresh outcrops with up to 6 m wide quartz veining zone. The company has discovered metallic mineralization in the extension, which also contains immense fine-grained pyrite to striped vein quartz. The lateral level of this veining system is inferred to have a strike of at least 650 m long, wherein the system might have cut the new drill hole GP11-6 of the company, and may be above a length of 1 km. In addition, the company is opening the outcrop zone, which will be sampled and mapped. After the mapping is completed, Mexivada will drill this target.
A core drill campaign is underway at the Golden Porcupine. The company has arranged storage and work facilities in Timmins, where it conducts sawing and core logging. The work results of the Golden Porcupine will be regularly announced.
Additionally, Mexivada is performing work at the Matheson region located in Hislop Township. It may engage a second drilling rig for work in this region by October end. A flow-through cash resource is used from the treasury of Mexivada to support a +5,000 m drill campaign in Ontario during 2011.
