Entourage Metals has begun surface exploration program at the Benton gold property. This program includes soil gas hydrocarbon (SGH) and Gravimetric surveys in order to find regions with more comprehensive exploration work.
More than 5,000 soil samples will be gathered by the SGH campaign for examination. This technique is helpful in terrains, where broad overburden is present and conventional soil geochemistry is feeble. This latest geochemical process will be used to discover prominent mineralization at depth and will support new gold discoveries. The SGH geochemical survey is performed by testing different hydrocarbons by means of a forensic method to enable identification.
An extensive part of the Benton property is enclosed in swamps and deep overburden, which is suitable for this type of survey. Additionally, this property is contiguous to the Jerome Mine or Trelawney Mining.
The location of this property is in the Southern Swayze Greenstone Belt in Ontario, which has not been explored yet. This property encloses a section of the Ridout deformation zone, in the Swayze greenstone belt. Kerr Addison-Chesterville gold deposits and the Kirkland Lake deposits have previously produced gold that goes beyond 49 Moz.
Cote Lake gold deposit of Trelawney Mining and the Jerome mine are present in this Ridout deformation zone. The claims of the company have covered more than 11 km of this trend.
Wide overburden has covered the Benton property. The types of rock present here are identical to the Kirkland Lake greenstone belt, which has Temiskaming sediments, porphyries and volcanics.
