Apex Geoscience has reported to Habanero Resources that the teams have finished the phase I sampling program at the Grande-Vallée north prospect, Quebec. The company identified altered red clay and has currently sent the samples to ALS Minerals Laboratory in Val d'Or for main element analysis.
Habanero’s President, Jason Gigliotti, commented that the company is expecting the results from the samples of this fresh prospect. The company is waiting for the samples from the Grand-Vallée north prospect and has pending results from Yukon’s Haldane Silver Prospect and the Lezai gold prospect, Quebec. It is expecting positive results from these prospects, which may ensure encouraging growth prospects for the company.
The company purchased the Grande-Vallée north aluminous clay prospect, which includes 5,574 adjacent acres in Quebec. This prospect is immediately bordering the north of the 6,441 ha Grande-Vallée property, which is an aluminous clay deposit that is situated 32 km to the northeast of Murdochville in Québec. The location of the property is across the St. Lawrence River and near numerous deepwater ports.
During 2011 November, drilling crews finished an initial geologic reconnaissance program at the Lezai gold prospect, Quebec. The company targeted five priority regions totally in the claims, depending on geologic collection work that shows potential gold and favourable geology. Crews sent 100 rock grab samples, including glacially transported boulders and outcrops, to ALS Minerals Laboratory for multi-element ICP-MS test and gold fire assays. The company identified mineralization, including quartz and silicification of veining mafic volcanic rock that has chalcopyrite and pyrite at two tested locations out of five.
The Lezai gold prospect has around 55,100 adjacent acres that are situated about 125 km to the northwest of Chibougamau in Quebec.
