Barkerville Gold Mines has received the assay results of the 14 holes from BCV11-11 through 23, which are drilled at the Barkerville Mountain, which focused on the mineralized gold in the BC vein.
The company is continuously drilling at Barkerville and Cow Mountain. Four drill contractors have employed seven rigs, in which six rigs drilled at the Cow Mountain and one rig drilled at the Barkerville Mountain. It has drilled 23,757 m, totaling 131 diamond drill holes, including 118 exploration holes and 13 water monitoring holes. It has announced the assay results of 81 drill holes and will report the 50 pending assay results that contain more than 3,000 drill core samples.
Barkerville has intersected 13.1 g/t gold over 3.8 m in the hole BCV11-12, 7.75 g/t gold over 17.6 m in the hole BCV11-13, 8.57 g/t gold over 7.8 m and 4.21 g/t gold over 16.6 m in the hole BCV11-15B, 16.6 g/t gold over 2.3 m in the hole BCV11-18, 9.40 g/t gold over 4.8 m in the hole BCV11-20, 5.95 g/t gold over 2.3 m in the hole BCV11-23.
Eco Tech Lab in BC examined all samples. Assaying has included 28 element ICP and gold fire assay along with AA finish.
The BC Vein has been outlined for a length and depth of 2.2 km and 305 m respectively and a width of up to 36 m. 210 holes have been drilled around the BC Vein, since 1999. The company has got the approval for drilling more than 900 diamond drill holes at the Barkerville Mountain. It is creating a database of all the holes drilled at Cow, Barkerville, and Island Mountain. This database will be utilized to calculate the gold resources in these three mountains.
