Soltoro has reported encouraging metallurgical test sample results from the Soledad formation, which is located at its El Rayo primary silver project, Mexico. This Soledad structure, which is trending towards east-west, has shown a large and fresh mineralized silver zone.
Future revised resources study will incorporate these results and this study is expected to be completed by Roscoe Postle & Associates during the end of the 2012 first quarter.
Hazen Research in Colorado has completed the phase I metallurgical test work. Flotation tests have been conducted by Hazen on the three samples, which have returned 90, 158 and 257 g/t silver at different grinds.
The company received the silver concentrate through the bulk flotation of sulphides by means of standard methods and flotation reagents. Silver exists along with copper, lead and zinc sulphides.
Soltoro’s CEO and President, Andrew Thomson, commented that the encouraging metallurgical results given by Hazen has validated that the newly identified silver Soledad ore shoots can be subjected to conventional metallurgical process in order to supply a high-grade concentrate silver with good recoveries.
The services of Dr. Ashok Dalvi have been retained by the company to supervise the ongoing work conducted by Hazen, having the target on strategic planning and method improvement.
Currently, Hazen Research of Colorado is performing metallurgical testing at the La Soledad, Catarina and Las Bolas deposits, which are the parts of the El Rayo primary silver project.
