The second phase of exploratory drilling has commenced at the Dome 5 zinc-lead-silver prospect in New South Wales.
UXA Resources, an explorer of base metals and uranium, is currently conducting exploration work at a number of projects located in New South Wales and Western Australia.
At the Dome 5 zinc, lead and silver prospect in New South Wales the company is working on an eight hole mud rotary / diamond drilling program. 2,800 meters of drilling is planned with the hope to define the extent of mineralization at the project.
Exploratory drilling will be used as a basis to define the maiden resource estimate at the Dome 5 prospect as well. They are testing for a potential target of between 5 to 10 million tones of mineralized body of lead and zinc along with some silver credits. The Dome 5 prospect is located 50 km north west of Broken Hill. It is part of the Mundi Plains Project.
At the UXA Resources’ Stuart Shelf IOCG project in South Australia the exploratory drilling will begin in 2012. The company has Straits Resources as a joint venture partner in the project. Straits has already finished with a geographical evaluation of the most likely targets and received the clearance for the heritage areas.
