Esperanza Resources has updated on the ongoing drilling program conducted at its Cerro Jumil project in Mexico.
The company has cut two separate intervals in the drill hole RCHE-11-220, including 2.5 g/t gold over 22.5 m and 1.1 g/t gold over 30 m. Two intervals were also intersected in the drill holes RCHE-11-221 and RCHE-11-222, returning 1.7 g/t gold over 10.5 m and 1.0 g/t gold over 18 m in the former hole and 1.6 g/t gold over 40.5 m in the latter respectively.
Two successive samples of 1.5 m each, including 119 g/t and 82 g/t gold respectively, were identified in the drill hole RCHE-11-220. High-grade pockets may be present in this hole. The company intersects all assays to 10 g/t high-grade of gold in order to estimate the average grade of any interval and to calculate the resource.
The results of the ongoing drilling program has included in-fill holes that were planned to improve inferred resource regions to indicated or measured status, condemnation holes such as RCHE-11-217, 218, 226, 227, 228, which has not found mineralization in planned regions for upcoming mine infrastructure, and confirmation drilling at the significant zones’ potential expansions along the strike length and to the depth of the prominent deposit.
Two new drilling rigs have been engaged by the company and are expected to arrive at the earliest. The company will employ these rigs for metallurgical and geotechnical sampling, and exploration drilling programs for helping future feasibility studies.
