Monarques Resources has announced the 2011 exploration results from the Bourier property.
Soil sampling, prospecting, geological mapping and stripping were conducted on the property’s northeastern portion and drilling the targets created from helicopter borne EM or mag survey and geological mapping on the southwest part was included in the 2011 exploration.
A clastic sediment formation containing high-magnetic large sulphide mineralization zone, which stretches for over 25 km, was identified in former exploration. The company drilled 15 holes at the zone’s southwest end. Mineralization was cut in these holes for a width of more than 5 to 10 m. Monarques drilled 2,214 m in total and sent 459 samples for assay.
The company encountered mineralization when intercepted vertically to 100 m depth. The occurrence of continuous mineralized horizon is shown through data analysis. SedEx type of silver and zinc mineralized zone has been shown in the laboratory results and the descriptive information.
Monarques’ CEO and President, Mr. Guy Bourassa stated that the company identified a new target and was encouraged by with the occurrence of mineralization in SedEx style. He added that the testing of three fresh soil anomalies and additional showings will be included in the following program. The company has planned to commence prospecting and geological surveying New drilling targets will be outlined through this program in 2012.
The company sent all samples to the ALS Chemex facilities in Quebec for preparation and analysis, using Au-TL43 and ME-MS41 methods.
