Manitou Gold has updated on exploration works proposed for 2012 and a review on the progress made in 2011.
The company is currently conducting an exploration program for 2012. The drilling camp is in place for the Gaffney extension. Drill pads and the ice road construction are ongoing. Many diamond drills will be used for drilling at the Gaffney project this winter. The company will commence drilling once the pads are constructed. A comprehensive 3D model of mineralized gold is being completed at the project, besides the drill program.
Manitou Gold has started drilling at the Kenwest property and will be continuing through January, till the completion of the ice pads at the property.
Previously, many projects located in the Manitou Straits deformation zone are being improved by the company. Manitou Gold has gained confidence of increasing the land site, which includes the Merrill Patents, Gaffney Extension, Mosher Bay, and West Limb projects, through excellent exploration results. Initial work consists of drilling, prospecting and trenching on these newly purchased lands.
Diamond drilling of more than 21,000 m was completed in 2011. The drilling area has been increased due to the encouraging exploration results and acquisition of additional property.
The company will drill the Kenwest, Gaffney extension and Sherridon projects in 2012. Manitou Gold can potentially conduct future drilling programs.
