Metals Creek Resources reports the assay results of four diamond drill holes located at the Ogden property’s Naybob south zone. These holes examined shallow mineralization in this property.
The design of these holes was planned in a way to enhance the density of drilling in the high-grade mineralized gold in the Naybob South stratigraphy. Arsenopyrite and pyrite in strong albitized mafic volcanic rocks are included in the mineralization. As a part of 3593 m drilling program, the company drilled four holes out of 13. These holes were planned to focus on the mineralization present on the Naybob South, Porphyry Hill, and Thomas Ogden zones. The company has obtained assay results of 8 holes out of 13. TOG-11-08, 09 and 10 holes returned 13.07 g/t gold over 2.88 m, wherein high-grade mineralized gold was extended to depth at Thomas Ogden zone. In view of ground stability issues, the target was not achieved by the hole PH11-01.
According to Sandy Stared, Metals Creek’s CEO and President, this drill program is showing the shallow mineralization continuity at the Naybob south zone that is around 8 km towards the western part of Dome mine and mill complex of Goldcorp. The last five holes’ results are still pending.
The company has encountered 1.066 g/t gold over 8.84 m in hole OG11-01, 6.217 g/t gold over 6.63 m and 1.547 g/t gold over 2.6 m in hole OG11-02, 2.155 g/t gold over 2.5 m and 2.767 g/t gold over 5.05 m in hole OG11-03, 2.224 g/t gold over 2.88 m in hole OG11-04.
