Entourage Metals is mobilizing a second drill rig in order to speed up the drilling program at its Black Raven gold project, which is situated in the Hemlo Greenstone Belt in North Ontario.
An aggressive drilling has been planned to follow-up the company’s new gold discoveries. The company has encountered high-grade gold mineralization at the property’s Super G prospect, including 44.4 g/t gold over 2.17 m in hole BR11-04. Partial results of the holes from BR11-01 to 04 have been released. The company has drilled these initial holes on the Super G vein for analyzing a shear zone-hosted, mineralized quartz vein system that yielded high-grade gold during the surface sampling program. Two further holes, BR11-05 and BR11-06, were drilled which have expanded this structure to a strike length of 400 m. The company is awaiting for the assay results of these holes.
Mineralized gold has been intercepted in all the four drill holes, along the Super G shear zone. The company has intersected 128.0 g/t gold over 0.3 m in hole BR11-01, 44.57 g/t gold over 2.38 m in the discovery hole, BR11-04. This shear-hosted intercept has a breccia vein, which is similar to other high-grade gold veins explored in Archean Lode gold deposits.
The Black Raven property is located 14 km to the northeast part of Marathon town and situated 30 km towards the Hemlo Mines’ northwest.
