Netco Silver has provided update on the initial sampling and prospecting program conducted at the Toruel property in Argentina.
The preliminary sampling and prospecting program has discovered fresh vein structures located external to the prominent Toruel Vein. These fresh vein structures are present along the strike in a similar structural corridor and towards the Toruel vein’s southern part. This work has expanded the Toruel Vein corridor strike to more than 5,000 m, and resulted in the new vein structure discovery that is around 1,500 m towards the southeast.
The company encountered 0.0 to 0.714 g/t gold from 162 individual rock samples and 56.8 g/t silver, 0.0 to 0.379 g/t gold, more than 1% lead over 0.95 m from the channel samples.
These results confirmed the geological model, which has shown that the Toruel Vein is located at an epithermal system’s low level, with downthrown blocks towards the western and eastern part. The company has opened upthrown blocks towards a deep extent of the erosion. As a result, numerous low level anomalies that are possibly identified have shown the buried epithermal mineralization’s surface expressions.
Several veins together with the anomalous silver, gold and base metal results have proposed a system, which has the capability for large mineralization.
Continuous trenching and induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey of 70 line-km have been included in the next stage of this systematic exploration. The company is conducting both programs, with drilling results, and is expecting the IP survey results in 4 to 6 weeks. The upcoming drill targets will be determined using these results.
Currently, Netco Silver is analyzing the proposals from drill contractors in order to start 3,000 m diamond drill program, in April or May 2012.
