Choice Gold Starts Phase 1B Drilling at Sugarloaf Peak Gold Project in Western Arizona

Choice Gold has begun the Phase 1B of drilling program on its Sugarloaf Peak Gold Project located in western Arizona. This project, situated within 100 km of the American Girl, Mesquite, and Copperstone gold deposits, showed its gold potential via the company’s mapping and drilling program conducted in 2011.

The latest program comprises 1,500 m of reverse circulation drilling, focusing on regions with high-grade gold. Special focus will include identifying the expansion of the gold oxide mineralisation discovered in SGL-11-04 drill hole and identifying surface mineralized regions returning numerous grams of gold in samples taken at the time of the mapping work.

The company has integrated the results of the mapping and drilling program conducted in 2011 with the past information available to delineate targets for phase 1B drilling program. Special focus will be given to the junction of economical grade near the surface in SGL-11-04 hole, which intercepted a sample of 5.98 g/t gold over 0.61 m, and 1.76 g/t gold over 9.91 m within an iron oxide rich interval.

The company will also verify surficial gold anomalous regions intercepting multi-gram gold values from inner and outer areas of the identified mineralized central zone. The 11.9 g/t gold in the blue schist will also be validated at depth. Majority of these regions have not been tested so far. The company will perform drill testing on a surface area of about 3 sq. km, which is approximately 4 times the size of the identified mineralized central zone.

The company will sample all the reverse circulation holes from the top to the bottom of every hole following meticulous QAQC procedures.
