Metals Creek Resources declared that it has started a diamond drilling program on the Ogden Property located in the Timmins Gold Camp, Ontario. The Ogden property encloses 8 km of strike length of the Porcupine-Destor Break between Lake Shore Gold's West Timmins development project and Goldcorp's Dome Mine.
The drill program will concentrate on important targets, comprising the near surface mineralization at the Thomas Ogden Zone. Over the past two years, drilling projects have partly outlined shallow gold mineralization at the Thomas Ogden zone with several intersections, including TOG-10-21 hole, which returned 1.94 g/t gold over 75.85 m with 4.37 g/t gold over 23.4 m, and TOG-11-11 drill hole, which returned 1.92 g/t gold over 94.0 m with two high grade zones of 8.83 g/t gold over 5.50 m and 7.57g/t gold over 7.0 m. The Thomas Ogden zone is a ruggedly modified porphyry and sedimentary unit with arsenopyrite, pyrite and visible gold. The company will release the results from the drilling program once they are received.
The Ogden Gold project in Ontario is under an option deal with Goldcorp and Goldcorp Canada. The deal will enable the corporation to earn a 50% interest in the project, situated in Deloro and Ogden townships. This will be achieved by issuing shares and cash totaling $460,000 and spending approximately $3.1 million over 4 years.
