Callinex Mines has obtained the initial assay results from the winter exploration program conducted at the Gossan Hill property in this season.
The location of this property is in North Manitoba near Cranberry Portage. The company has drilled 20 holes and has almost completed further assay work.
The company has encountered 40.75 g/t gold and 11.16 g/t silver over 1.13 m, 30.37 g/t gold and 7.98 g/t silver over 1.58 m, 19.88 g/t gold and 5.15 g/t silver over 2.45 m in hole GOS 33, 3.77 g/t gold and 1.27 g/t silver over 2.39 m, 1.77 g/t gold and 4.97 g/t silver over 2.90 m in hole GOS 34, 2.57 g/t gold and 21.31 g/t silver over 2.97 m, 2.21 g/t gold and 15.94 g/t silver over 3.97 in hole GOS 36, 3.26 g/t gold over 0.67 m in hole GOS 41.
The hole GOS 33 specifically cut the gold-bearing structure for 45 m down the strike from the former hole GOS 30. The company drilled the hole GOS 30 during 2011 in order to encounter mineralization, which grades 4.21 g/t gold over 15.91 m. GOS 34 is intersected deeply at the Gossan Hill zone that examined the structure for 440 m vertically from the surface. The holes GOS 36 and GOS 41 expanded the gold-bearing structure’s strike by 180 m and 300 m towards the Southern part of all former drilling.
The company has examined several targets down plunge and along strike of the popular mineralization. The zone formed at Gossan Hill belongs to 6 km shear zone. Callinex has arranged for two diamond drill rigs in order to continue work till the conditions permit.
