NSGold and NSX Silver have begun the phase I drilling at the Dios Padre project, which is situated in Mexico.
The phase I program has included 2,000 m primary drilling program, totaling seven holes, that has been specifically designed to examine the geophysical and geochemical anomalies identified in the exploration program of 2011. Significant areas of interest have been found in these anomalies and have base metals, copper, gold and silver. A huge conductive anomaly was unveiled through the three dimensional induced polarization geophysical survey for 2011 and is located towards the northern part of the previous mining operations that strike towards east-west. This region seems to come near the surface and may possibly outcrop inside the geochemical anomalies. This anomaly’s central core looks like a high-conductive mass that is around 600 m thick, 800 m long and at least 300 m deep. The effort of exploration specifically outlined a metal zonation, indicating buried porphyry copper towards the main silver zone’s northern part. Mineralized silver present in rhyolite intrusive rocks may potentially show distal apophyses of a huge mineralized intrusive.
The company has planned to conduct a phase II program, based on the initial drilling results. This program has included the drilling of 30 further holes, totaling around 8,000 m, in order to extend the geologic data base and to focus on the potential mineralization areas.
