Mag Copper, a junior mining exploration and development company, has reported that it has released the updated resource estimate results from the Magusi River deposit in Abitibi Region.
This deposit contains copper, gold, silver and zinc, and is situated 30 km towards the north-western part of Rouyn Noranda in Quebec. Roscoe Postle Associates (RPA) has conducted the Mineral Resource Estimate, which was announced in line with the requirements of NI 43-101.
RPA with the help of three dimensional modeling has prepared the Magusi River deposit’s mineral resource calculation.
This estimate is prepared based on diamond drilling program of around 56,200 m, totaling 258 holes. This program has included 28,170 m, totaling 119 holes, which were conducted at the Magusi River deposit area during 2007-2008.
The Magusi River Deposit has VMS mineralization that is rich in zinc and auriferous copper. This deposit has sheet of stratiform and banded huge sulphides, which strike towards the east-west and dip for 50° towards south. These banded sulphides attain a width of 35 m as maximum.
The deposit area is exposed at depth and in lateral direction. Many drilled holes have shown a good prospective for further mineralization. Currently, the company is carrying out a drilling program at the Magusi River deposit area.
