Equinox Exploration has announced the completion of geophysical survey work at the North Star copper project in Arizona. The company has obtained the final report from the project.
After the submission of the drill permits, the company continues to study the mineralization and structure, which lies below the North Star project, using geophysical analysis.
The magneto-telluric and gravity surveys, which were completed, have found faulted regions to 1000 m of analytical depth and the depth to bedrock. Key data was obtained from the survey and was about controlling geologic aspects for the mineralization. The company received magneto-telluric and gravity measurements from four individual lines of over 11.7 km of total distance. The results from these surveys together with previous exploration and the geological observations offer the information, which is significantly required to confirm the proposed drill target areas. The company has planned to start a 16-hole drill program in the second quarter of 2012.
Hasbrouck Geophysics completed the electromagnetic and gravity surveys and it has an experience for more than 30 years in all exploration geophysics features, which include processing, field operations, research and development, processing, display, data reduction and interpretation.
According to Equinox Exploration’s Director, Roy Fuller, the company is delighted to include the geophysical survey in the current exploration program. The received data will mainly help to maximize the efforts, as the drill program is progressing, he said.
