Vantex Announces Initial Drill Program at Cookie Monster Project

Vantex Resources has announced a primary drill program at the Cookie Monster project, which is a 50-50 joint venture project with Amseco Exploration. This program includes 1,500 m of drilling. This project is situated in the Chapais-Chibougamau region.

The Cookie Monster property encloses 1,456 ha, containing 28 mining cells, and is located in the south-east expansion of the Fancamp deformation corridor and is bordered towards the eastern part of the TomaGold's Monster Lake project. Also, the project has the Murgor property towards its western part.

The company encountered 237.6 g/t gold over 5.7 m in hole M-12-60, 76.53 g/t gold over 2 m in hole M-24-11 located in Monster Lake, 45.76 g/t gold over 6.10 m in channel GM 29936 in Murgor A et B, 4.17 g/t gold over 3 m in hole GM 51718 in Murgor C, 1.07 g/t gold over 1.52 m in hole GM 43518 in Winchester, 12.76 g/t gold over 8.75 m, 12.74 g/t gold over 5.85 m in hole CRO11-05 and 4.58 g/t gold over 6 m in hole CRO11-06 in Croteau area.

The Opawica-Guercheville deformation zone lies in the property’s south-west expansion and has the significant Obatogameau Fault. Lac Meston or the Joe Mann Mine, the Philibert deposits are the gold showing identified in this region.

Several exploration targets containing gold are identified in most of the structures, intercepting the Fancamp deformation corridor. The company’s management has almost completed a structural, geophysical and geological compilation of the property. The initial drill targets will be discovered using this data.
