Sanatana Resources has released assay results of the final four holes from SR-12-01 to SR-12-04, which were drilled during the nine-hole program at the Clam Lake claim.
The hole SR-12-01 was specifically designed to examine the small induced polarization (IP) target found in the southwestern portion of claim 3011820. The company drilled the holes SR-12-02 and SR-12-03 at the southern part of lines 14 and 16 respectively in order to examine the mineralization’s up-dip occurrence noticed in the holes SR-11-04 and SR-11-01 on similar lines. The infill hole SR-12-04 was drilled on line 15 between the holes SR11-05 and SR11-03 that target the surface geochemistry and IP anomaly at near-surface depth in order to validate the mineralization’s continuity.
Depending on the assays and observations obtained from the nine holes, the company has found that the mineralized gold exists as a low-grade dispersed zone, which is present in a strongly silicified breccia. High-grade gold exists within and immediately marginal to the low-grade zones, and is related with structures, quartz veins, and most strong alteration areas.
A gold mineralization zone has been outlined along with a lateral extent of up to 300 m broader in the north-south direction. The mineralization expands along strike from the Trelawney claim border in the eastern part towards the Clam Lake shoes in the western area and is exposed in both directions. The drill program has demonstrated that the mineralization is expanding towards a perpendicular depth of around 400 m. Geological analysis of the data shows that this is an individual gold mineralization zone confined to the mineral claim borders. This mineralized gold zone is the expansion of the Cote Lake gold deposit.
