Entourage Metals has announced the assay results for five drill holes concluded at its Black Raven gold property. The drill holes examined the high-grade Super G shear zone and the Tracy Lee gold-in-soil anomaly.
BR12-07 drill hole examined the Tracy Lee Prospect, which lies at the Beggs Lake Stock’s southern boundary of the Black Raven property. This drill hole focused on a soil anomaly grading 0.87 g/t gold combined with a magnetic lineament and an intellectual property geophysical anomaly. This anomaly has an analogous direction to the Super G Vein, which is hosted inside the mafic volcanic rocks. Drill hole BR12-07 encountered 2.0 m averaging 1.39 g/t gold at contact with the Beggs Lake Stock. This zone plunges down from the adjacent surface exposure, which intersected 0.22 g/t gold from a 1 m channel sample.
Drill holes from BR12 to 15 to BR12-18 examined the Super G vein in four holes that are less than 100 m beneath the surface. The vein thickness increases with depth as demonstrated by the BR11-04 intercept. This drilling was performed to find out the down-dip of the main mineralized breccia zone before drilling at depth.
The expansion of gold-bearing veins that are sub-parallel to the main Super G breccia vein indicates potential structures at depth. For instance, drill hole that BR12-16 that intersected 0.65 m averaging 4.62 g/t gold and drill hole BR12-18 that intersected 0.38 m averaging 14.1 g/t gold demonstrate a developing vein similar to the Super G vein.
The company is planning barge and land-based drilling to examine the extent of strike on the Super G vein. Ice-based drilling will not be performed in view of unfavorable weather conditions. The latest discovery validates the possibility of other styles of gold mineralization. From Phase I drill campaign, grade intercept at 2.38 m of 44.57 g/t gold could be the highest grade discovered near the Hemlo Mines.
