Sutter Gold Mining Provides Update on Lincoln Mine Project

Sutter Gold Mining, a growth-oriented exploration company, has declared the analytical results for six drill holes from the current drilling program at its Lincoln Mine project located near Sutter Creek, California.

So far, the company has completed 11 angled diamond drill holes and analytical results have been obtained for the first 9 holes. Analytical results for the initial three drill holes were reported on March 6, 2012.

Sutter Gold Mining President and CEO, Leanne Baker stated that the company is halfway through its surface drill campaign program, and has bought a Termite drill for core drilling once the mining campaign gets on track.

The fourth drill hole, DDH-199 was drilled towards the NW at an inclination of -85° which encountered the target fissure vein at 259.4 ft to 262.9 ft depth. The vein returned an assay of 1.067 oz/t gold. Visible gold exists in a quartz vein inside a carbonate-sericite alteration zone. DDH-200 hole was drilled at an inclination of -45° to 287 ft depth from the same drill pad as the DDH-199 drill hole. DDH-200 drill hole changed from greenstone to strong sericite-carbonate alteration at 138.0 ft depth and intersected a quartz vein from 145.3 ft to 147.3 ft depth. The half core tested from this vein only revealed a value of 0.005 oz/t gold with insignificant gold values in the adjacent alteration zone.

DDH-201 drill holes encountered four vein zones inside a sericite-carbonate alteration halo within the greenstone-interbedded sequence contact zone. The first two vein zones had a +3% sulfide mineral content and one included discernible specks of native gold, which indicates gold. DDH-202 hole made a quartz fissure vein intersection from 210.8 ft to 215.7 ft depth with some specks of discernible gold. DDH-203 hole encountered three fissure vein zones, and a fourth zone ending with a quartz vein with specks of discernible gold. DDH-204 hole encountered a new vein from 98.8 ft to 106.8 ft for an actual width of 7.3 ft grading 0.234 oz/t gold.

All the six drill holes were angled to seal in spaces in the Lincoln resource portion.
