HRT O&G Concludes Drill-Stem Test at Solimôes Basin

HRT O&G Exploracao e Producao de Petroleo Ltd, a subsidiary of HRT Participacoes em Petroleo has concluded drill-stem test at Block SOL-T-170 and 1-HRT-6-AM on the Solimôes Basin. Well 1-HRT-6-AM showed results of oil and gas at two intervals at a depth of 3.384m and net pay of 4 and 8m at Devonian Reservoirs.

The company has mapped other prospects at Block 170 based on seismic data. It also plans to implement the evaluation plan at ANP for various blocks including Block 170 and hopes to re-evaluate the potential results of the reservoirs in HRT-1 and HRT-6. The ongoing drilling at HRT-8 and HRT-7D is likely to be completed by the second quarter of this year. Based on the results achieved at TNK-Brasil and HRT OG the natural gas monetisation and production of liquids will also be carried out. Drilling will also take place at the Arua Cluster by the third quarter of this year at blocks 148, 149 and 172. The process of collection of seismic data was completed by January 2012 and all the data has been processed and mapped.

HRT Group consists of eight subsidiaries and HRT O&G holds 55% stake in 21 exploratory blocks in the Solimôes Basin and also operates ten exploratory blocks in the Namibian Coast.
