La Ronge Gold has announced that it has obtained the results from the confirmation sampling program carried out by Cameco at the Preview SW Deposit, located in North Saskatchewan, Canada during 1998.
Preview SW Drill Hole Plan
Cameco’s drill program conducted during 1986-1989 encountered broad and shallow gold mineralization zones. La Ronge confirmed the assay results from Cameco's drill program and La Ronge’s winter or spring drilling program for 2012 validated the existence of the mineralized zones cut by Cameco, and expanded the deposit towards the northern and southern part.
Re-assaying of Cameco’s drill program includes 2.26 g/t gold over 19.8 m and 1.69 g/t gold over 36.5 m from PR88-76 drill hole, and 3.13 g/t gold over 22.0 m and 1.46 g/t gold over 62.4 m in PR88-88 drill hole.
Cameco drilled 14,119 m, totaling 89 holes, at the Preview SW deposit between 1986 and 1989. All drill logs, assays and other technical data of this work are available with LAR. Approximately one third of the drill core was boxed and labelled again over the previous months. Cameco’s assays must be evaluated so that La Ronge Gold can make use of the data in its mineral resource calculation.
PR88-76 and PR88-88 drill holes, which were drilled on section 7015, were chosen for the confirmation sampling campaign. Re-sampling can be done on these two holes, which were examined by La Ronge’s new drill holes, PR12-122, PR12-121, and PR12-120.
Saskatoon-based TSL Laboratories assayed the split core samples from the holes PR88-88 and PR88-76.
