VVC Exploration has reported the results of soil and rock geochemical exploration and geological mapping program carried out in the south section of the company’s Cumeral property, which is situated 70 km towards the southern part of the US border, Mexico.
Independent geological consultants conducted the exploration campaign. The company will report the results, once completed.
The rock sampling and mapping program results have indicated high values of gold containing pyritized and hematized quartz veinlets or veins that are commonly related to low-angle, mylonitized faults. Geological mapping program carried out at the property’s southern section has discovered at least 10 gold-bearing mineralized structures.
The company conducted the soil geochemical survey towards the northern part of the area, which is enclosed by the comprehensive rock sampling and mapping program.
The company has outlined three anomalous regions having more than 50 ppb gold in the zones characterized by less number of outcrops or in unmapped areas. Initial mapping program carried out towards northern and western part of the prominent mineralized zones indicate an identical geologic or tectonic environment with prospective for considerable gold mineralization regions. Quartz veins with gold mineralization are added in two main fracture sets. Both granite and rhyolite units are strained and metamorphosed, and generated mylonitic fabrics.
VVC had sent soil and rock samples to the ALS Chemex laboratories in Mexico. Fire assay along with a gravimetric finish were used for all gold analysis.
