Black Smoker Ventures Continues Phase I Diamond Drilling at Fox Lake Mine Project

Black Smoker Ventures has announced that it is continuing the phase I diamond drill program at its Fox Lake Mine project in Canada.

The company has specifically designed its drilling program to examine the deep conductor found during the deep-penetrating SQUID TDEM survey, which was performed last summer. Testing has not been conducted at depth on the Fox Lake mine project. This geophysical signature has appeared as the main drilling target area for the phase I program.

Currently, the company is performing the drill operations at a depth of around 900 m, approaching a depth less than 1200 m level. This drilling campaign is specifically designed to analyze deeply buried conductive target areas directly below the historic Fox Mine ore bodies. The company discovered these target areas, after the completion of the deep-penetrating geophysical survey conducted at this land package in 2011.

The geophysical ground program of Black Smoker identified a main target area down dip of popular mineralization.

Black Smoker Ventures’s CEO and President, Carson Seabolt commented that the company is happy with the advancements made at the Fox Lake mine project and is expecting to complete this high impact drill hole that has been specifically designed to assess further than the deepest historical regions intersected by Sherritt Gordon in 1985.

The company is expecting to complete the hole by this July end. In addition, Black Smoker announced that it has abandoned its Kelsey Gold claim areas located in Manitoba and strives to maintain its core portfolio that contains the Wyatt and Vena gold projects.
