Standard Graphite Commences Exploration Work at Mousseau East Property

Standard Graphite has informed that it has begun exploration work at its flagship Mousseau East property. This summer work campaign of 2012 has an objective to qualify the historic resource to be NI 43-101 compliant and to explore for prospective expansions.

In May 2012, the company immediately commenced work at the property, after its purchase, together with a historical data compilation in a complete geo-referenced database. In addition, an aerial Mag - TDEM geophysical survey was started by the company and Prospectair Geosurveys carried out and completed the survey over the entire property. The company is expecting the survey results at the earliest. Currently, it is prospecting and mapping the area geologically to find further targets and to get a better understanding on the graphite trends’ geometry.

The company has applied and received the essential permits for the future diamond drilling campaign. The drilling campaign will comprise exploratory holes, step out holes that examine popular mineralized structures and the duplication of some significant historical holes to revise the historic deposit to a present NI 43-101 compliant resource. The company will start the campaign, after review and completion of the present surface prospecting program and Mag-TDEM survey results.

Standard Graphite purchased the Mousseau east property during April 2012. This property is situated some 40 km towards northeastern part of the town of Mont-Laurier, Northwest Québec. Graphicor conducted systematic exploration program, which includes 4996 m of drilling totaling 62 diamond drill holes, between 1989 and 1993 and carries out resource estimation.
