Suparna Gold, an exploration firm, reported that it has obtained all the assay results from the 2,388 m diamond drilling of the proposed 5,000 m campaign carried out at the Sara Creek property situated in South America. Filab Suriname completed the assays, and SGS Peru is verifying those assays.
The initial part of the program focused on channel and grab sample as well as gold in soil anomalies related to the outlined shear zones. It analyzed lithological contact zones that were obtained from aerial interpreted radiometric and magnetic information. The company sent 1,391 samples to Filab Suriname. A review conducted on the assay results showed that ALI-003 and GRA -003 were the only specific holes to yield more than 0.4 g/t gold of assays.
The company encountered 33.70 g/t gold over 1.5 m, 0.285 g/t gold over 3 m and 4.56 g/t gold over 12 m in hole GRA-003, and 2.40 g/t gold over 1.5 m and 0.78 g/t gold over 10 m in hole ALI-003.
Diamond drill program intersected mineralized gold that was related to shallow felsic derived clay-rich and saprolite zones, and gold mineralization is present in silicified andesite to the depth in holes ALI-003 and GRA-003.
The company has identified significant expansion of quartz vein mineralization only at 14 m in hole ALI-003 and at 84 m in hole GRA-003, though quartz vein stringers are related to all other assays.
The Sara Creek project is situated about 150 air kilometres towards the southern part of Paramaribo and covers 56,920 ha.
