Argentex Mining Reports Phase VIII Exploration Results from Pinguino Project

Argentex Mining has declared the initial drilling results from the 2012 phase VIII exploration campaign carried out at the Pinguino silver-gold and polymetallic project, which is situated in Santa Cruz Province of Argentina.

The company began the phase VIII drilling campaign on 23 February, 2012 and completed it on 1 June, 2012. Diamond drilling of 2,110 m, totaling 20 holes, served as definition or in-fill holes drilled on popular vein systems, while taking sample material earmarked for metallurgical testing. The campaign included an additional 8,410 m of reverse circulation (RC) drilling, totaling 93 holes, and focused on high priority veins. Sample results have been obtained from all 20 DDH holes and the remaining 93 RC holes are to be processed in the laboratory.

For In-fill drill program, two individual regions of the Marta Este vein, one in the main zone and the other in the oxide region, were selected. The examined areas were specifically drilled on a grid of 20 x 20 m, together with another hole drilled in the middle. Results were considered to be better than anticipated from the main zone-evidence for the prospective to locate further high-grade pockets in Marta Este area.

The program was specifically designed to retrieve metallurgical samples in order to examine milling and heap leaching methods. Marta Este, Marta Norte, Marta Centro, Ivonne-Ivonne Norte and Tranquilo were the five main regions selected for the sampling program.

The company has engaged G&T Metallurgical Services in B.C. to carry out initial flotation and leaching metallurgical studies on the Pinguino mineralization. It will test leaching of the flotation tails, after the initial testing is completed. The aim of this testing will be to expand the overall recoveries of gold and silver.
