Colombia Crest Gold declared that it has inked an agreement with AK Drilling International to carry out a 2,000 m minimum diamond drill program in addition to its current drilling campaign with Canadian Drill to drill a total of 5,000 at the Arabia porphyry complex.
The company will speed up to complete the formerly announced 5,000 m, phase I program at the complex with the help of a second drilling rig. On July 13, the company received water pumping permit from Corantioquia, the Colombian environmental agency, in order to facilitate a second drill rig.
Currently, AK Drilling is mobilizing a Sandvik DE710 track mounted diamond drill rig having a potential to drill 1,000 m of NQ sized core and 680 m of HQ sized core. The powerful track mounted diamond drill rig will considerably improve meterage and speed up the operations towards the preliminary objective of drilling 5,000 m. In addition, AK Drilling intends to move a Hydracore 4000 man portable drill rig to examine regions that are not reachable through present roads.
The location of the Arabia region is just 10 km towards the western part of the La Mina project of Bellhaven Copper and Gold and 15 km towards the southern part of the Titiribi project of Sunward Resources. The Arabia Porphyry targets is partly located on a concession, held under the Venecia contract with Colombian Mines and partly on one concession out of 18, held under the Fredonia contract with Grupo de Bullet.
