International Enexco has reported the results of the surface sampling campaign conducted at the Contact copper project, which is located in Northeast Nevada.
The company obtained high-grade assays of copper from a group of 28 rock chip samples that were taken from the Copper Ridge prospect, which is situated 1.6 km towards the southwestern part of the Contact copper project resource. Copper grades of up to 12.4% were recovered from the new sampling obtained from oxide mineralization outcrops in quartz monzonite.
Enexco gathered samples in a newly purchased claim area and these samples validate the work finished by the former owner, before Enexco combines the Copper Ridge region under a property purchase for 2011. The company performed the sampling program in a region, which expands about 2,500 x 600 m. Former activity in the region is confined to near-surface prospect pits.
The aim of the sampling campaign is to find out whether further geologic work is required for discovering drill targets in the region. Former sampling results were validated through the present results, which support additional work in investigating the Copper Ridge prospect as a region providing extra copper oxide for use in the Contact project.
The Contact copper oxide project is situated in Elko County, Nevada and is scheduled to utilize low-cost SX-EW recovery for onsite copper cathode production. Enexco has drilled 12,932 m, totaling 24 core and 58 reverse circulation holes. It has previously announced the results and is waiting for the remaining 10 core hole results.
