Archean Star Resources has received the assay results for drill holes BN007-BN010, from the Bunarra prospect in Gnaweeda Gold Project, Western Australia. The company has cut 7.30 g/t gold over 1 m in BN008 and encountered anomalous gold in BN007 and BN010.
The length of the mineralized zone found is around 200 m that is open to strike and also to depth. North-south mineralized trend is supported by the latest diamond drilling results. The gold intercepts found so far confirms the inconsistency in both grades and thicknesses. Mineralization may occur in numerous parallel zones.
Gold mineralization is related to arsenopyrite and quartz-tourmaline layers and dolerite is the main host rock. So far, the company has intersected 110.1 g/t gold over 1 m, 37.76 g/t gold over 4 m, 24.2 g/t gold over 1 m, 7.09 g/t gold over 3 m in BN003.
Archean will conduct the next phase of drilling at St. Anne's prospect including a six hole drill program and two-dimensional ground IP geophysical study at Turnberry and Bunarra zones future diamond drill holes and to find the mineralized extension. Further, geophysical survey has discovered a fourth target, which is a large structural target around 3 km northwest of the Turnberry zone. The company will begin the IP survey instantly predicting the beginning of drilling, once the IP survey is completed and analyzed.
